Events Manager
One of Dublin’s leading Enterprise Centres is seeking to add an experienced Events Manager with a strong background in promoting and engaging with SMEs to its talented team based in South Dublin.
This permanent role would see you involved in planning of online and in-person business events for this membership association with a focus on facilitating strong community connections and the opportunity for members to develop a wide-ranging business network.
Salary: €50,000

Hours: 9am to 5:30pm (Mon to Fri – fully onsite)
Location: South Dublin
Role and Responsibilities
In this role, the successful candidate can expect to:
- Research relevant and emerging business themes, including through contacting experts to act as guest speakers.
- Identify potential sponsors for events and drive revenue through ticket sales, and investment in other services provided by the organisation.
- Organise and run monthly and other periodic events both online and in-person, to allow for member engagement and the attraction of new members to the network.
- Plan and source all required materials and logistics including external venues, technology requirements, food & drink, communications.
- Develop, distribute and monitor promotional materials and publications both online and through other channels as required.
- Monitor and control the events budget tightly to ensure profitability.
- Build strong relationships with the local and wider business network, sponsors and partners.
- Identify further business development opportunities arising from events.
Your profile:
To be successful in this role you should have:
- At least 3 years’ demonstrable experience in an events management role.
- Enthusiasm for taking on a hands-on, people facing role in which you will be expected to proactively network in multiple locations, sometimes outside of normal working hours.
- Experience of HubSpot for CRM, management of promotional projects, and various forms of online marketing.
- Experience in content creation using tools such as Canva and integrated social media tools, and in the use of campaign analytics tools.
- Superb communications abilities with the ability to not only build long-lasting relationships in the business community, but also to clearly express your plans for growth.
- Experience managing budgets and in identifying opportunities for business growth.
- Familiarity with the different private and public sector supports available to the SME business network would be advantageous.
- Confidence in dealing with business executives at the highest level, both to secure membership, and to make funding applications where appropriate.
