Job Description

Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Wicklow, Arklow

€: Neg

Required for mechanical & electrical design consultancy with a large variety of commercial, residential and light industrial clients.

The company has consolidated several excellent clients with repeat work and is looking to expand the team by recruiting an intermediate / senior level electrical design engineer to work in our offices in Arklow, Co. Wicklow.

The role is permanent and with a package as per the details below and can be adapted to suit. This role is an opportunity to electrically lead and shape a growing company. Most of our work is Dublin based, however meetings and site attendance are scheduled during off peak traffic hours.

Duties:

  • Attendance design team meeting and representing the company
  • Electrically leading the company and targeting new standards and good quality of design
  • Electrical drafting and design in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Prepare design calculations, specifications and reports
  • Production of both outline and detailed design, and construction drawings
  • Undertake feasibility studies and investigative reports
  • Periodic site attendance and inspections for snagging & verification
  • Utilising design software packages with high levels of attention to detail and formatting abilities

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • Typically, around 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design.
  • A team player with good oral and written communication skills
  • Financially astute with effective planning and organization skills
  • Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges qualifications & experience
  • Willingness to learn and challenge for better delivery of service to our clients.
  • Electrician or other trade background welcome

Salary:

  • Salary commensurate with the candidate’s skills and experience to be discussed.
