Job Description

Data Officer – Dublin City Centre – Temporary
Duration: Temporary Role – Immediate Start
Location: Dublin 4 – Hybrid working arrangements available
Salary: €83K per annum (pro-rata)
Working Hours: Full-time – 35 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organisation, providing expert guidance and constructive challenge on projects and new initiatives to identify and manage data protection risks and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a delegate for the Data Protection Officer (DPO), as required.
  • Provide expert advice and support on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
  • Support the management and investigation of data protection incidents and personal data breaches.
  • Manage and respond to data subject rights requests, ensuring they are handled appropriately and within regulatory timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate and effective records and documentation, supporting wider file management and administrative activities.
  • Maintain and regularly update the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
  • Manage the Data Protection mailbox, responding to business-as-usual queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the development, review and ongoing maintenance of data protection policies, procedures and guidance.
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a data protection role.
  • Relevant data protection qualification.
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical and clear advice.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and advising on data protection and information governance risks.
  • Practical and pragmatic approach to problem-solving and delivering outcomes.
