Business Development Officer – Louth
We are proud to partner with our client who is a well-established community-focused financial institution, in recruiting for a Business Development Officer to support the CEO in delivering the strategic plan and driving growth across the Credit Union’s common bond in County Louth.
The role will focus on membership growth, business development, community engagement and promoting the Credit Union’s products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business growth initiatives in line with the strategic plan.
- Identify opportunities to increase membership and engage existing members.
- Monitor market and competitor trends and recommend new products and initiatives.
- Build relationships with schools, clubs, community groups and external organisations.
- Support youth engagement and membership campaigns.
- Develop a strong sales culture and support sales training across the organisation.
- Work with the Marketing Officer on promotional, PR and communication activities.
- Prepare monthly reports with business insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Third-level qualification in Finance, Business or a related field, or relevant experience.
- Proven experience in sales or business development.
- Financial services experience desirable; Credit Union experience an advantage.
- Strong strategic, analytical and commercial skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation abilities.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout County Louth.
