BER Assessor 

Salary: €40,000
Location: Dublin 3
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm

Osborne Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced BER Assessor to join a growing team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role involving residential BER assessments, property surveys, data collection, BER certification, advisory reports and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out residential BER assessments in line with SEAI standards and regulations.
• Complete accurate property surveys, measurements and technical data collection.
• Produce BER certificates and advisory reports within required turnaround times.
• Assess insulation, heating systems, ventilation, windows, building fabric and associated energy-efficiency measures.
• Upload and maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
• Liaise professionally with homeowners, contractors, office staff and technical teams.
• Manage daily survey schedules efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements while on site.
• Support retrofit and grant-related assessment work where required.
• Participate in internal training and ongoing technical development.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified BER Assessor -SEAI registered or eligible for registration.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of Irish residential construction and building fabric.
• Good understanding of DEAP and BER assessment methodology.
• Strong IT skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Professional communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload independently.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working both in the field and as part of a team
