Here at Osborne Recruitment, we are currently recruiting an experienced Bar Manager on behalf of a well-established client in Drogheda. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence.
As Bar Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy bar, combining hands-on leadership with strong commercial awareness. From creating a vibrant atmosphere on the floor to managing stock, staffing, budgets, and compliance behind the scenes, you’ll play a key role in the success of the business.
Oversee the smooth running of the bar, including opening and closing procedures.
Be a visible presence on the floor, leading the team through busy service periods and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere by maintaining high presentation standards, lighting, music, and overall ambience.
Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing bar team.
Build a positive, professional culture where people can thrive.
Prepare weekly rosters to meet business demands.
Conduct team briefings, provide performance feedback, and lead by example every day.
Order beverages, consumables, and bar supplies efficiently.
Complete regular stocktakes and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Monitor stock levels, pour costs, and implement effective controls to reduce waste and maximise profitability.
Oversee cash handling and daily reconciliations.
Monitor sales performance and support financial reporting.
Ensure the bar consistently achieves agreed gross profit (GP) targets.
Ensure full compliance with licensing legislation, health & safety regulations, and responsible service of alcohol policies.
Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and operational excellence throughout the venue.
Build strong relationships with customers and create memorable experiences.
Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
2–5 years’ experience as a Bar Manager or in a senior supervisory role within a busy hospitality environment.
Proven experience leading and developing successful teams.
Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast, NCR, or similar.
Experience using inventory and stock management systems.
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
A calm, confident approach with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
