A market-leading organisation is expanding its Artificial Intelligence function and is seeking three experienced AI Engineers to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering its enterprise-wide AI strategy.
This is a senior, hands-on position focused on the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI solutions that generate tangible business value across the organisation.
Working closely with teams across IT, Data, Engineering, and key business stakeholders, you will lead the delivery of innovative AI initiatives, leveraging technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, Machine Learning, and Azure AI Services. You will provide technical leadership, establish best practices, and contribute to building a sustainable, long-term AI capability within the business.
With significant investment being made in AI, the organisation is looking for individuals who can combine deep technical expertise with strategic vision, taking AI solutions from initial concept and experimentation through to production deployment, adoption, and ongoing optimisation.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in AI Engineering, complemented by solid Data Science expertise, enabling them to design, evaluate, and refine AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
● Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI and Machine Learning solutions to solve complex business challenges.
● Lead the architecture and implementation of production-grade AI applications using LLMs, RAG pipelines, AI Agents, and Azure AI services.
● Provide technical leadership across AI initiatives, ensuring solutions follow best practices for scalability, security, performance, and governance.
● Own the full AI development lifecycle, from discovery and proof-of-concept through to production deployment and business adoption.
● Develop and optimise AI models, prompt engineering frameworks, vector databases, and retrieval systems. ● Design and implement AI agent architectures, workflow automation, and API integrations.
● Collaborate with Infrastructure and Engineering teams to deploy AI solutions securely within enterprise environments.
● Ensure solutions leverage Private Endpoints, secure networking, identity management, and enterprise-grade governance controls.
● Establish monitoring, evaluation, and observability frameworks for AI systems, including hallucination detection, model drift monitoring, performance tracking, and cost optimisation.
● Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to identify high-value AI opportunities and define business cases.
● Measure and report on AI project outcomes, including efficiency gains, automation benefits, cost savings, and customer experience improvements.
Experience Required
● Lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced AI, machine learning, and data science solutions that address complex business challenges.
● Develop and maintain high-quality Python-based applications using modern AI/ML frameworks, libraries, and SDKs.
● Architect, build, and deploy production-ready Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and large language model (LLM) applications.
● Design, implement, and optimise AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and automated workflows to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
● Leverage Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, and other enterprise AI platforms to deliver scalable AI solutions.
● Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to design secure, scalable cloud solutions, including networking, identity management, API integrations, and enterprise-grade security controls.
● Deploy, monitor, and manage AI and machine learning workloads in production environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
● Design and maintain robust data pipelines, leveraging strong SQL and data engineering practices across structured and unstructured data sources.
● Analyse complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights, recommendations, and AI-driven business solutions.
● Implement and maintain AI governance frameworks, security controls, monitoring capabilities, and operational best practices to ensure compliance and responsible AI adoption.
● Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and contribute to the growth of AI engineering capabilities across the organisation.
● Engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, communicating complex technical concepts clearly and driving successful project outcomes through strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
