Accounts Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least two years’ experience in a fast-paced finance environment who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and collaborative team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function while supporting month-end processes and maintaining accurate financial records.
What’s on Offer
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Salary: €35,000 – €40,000, depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday working hours (9:00am – 5:00pm, fully onsite).

Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile supplier and creditor balances against third-party statements.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Prepare and post month-end journals.
- Assist the Financial Controller with daily finance activities and reporting.
- Provide backup support for payroll processing as required.
- Review pricing and contract information to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor, track and manage payments using Microsoft Excel.
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative duties.
About You
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy finance or accounts environment.
- Accounting technician qualification or similar.
- Working knowledge of Sage 50 and Sage Payroll.
- Experience with journals, billing, accounts payable, intercompany transactions, cash reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of numerical accuracy.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience within the construction or property sector would be an advantage, but is not essential.
