Newly Qualified Financial Accountant

Permanent Position

Kildare Town

We are partnering with a well-established organisation in Kildare to recruit a Newly Qualified Financial Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA professional who is eager to broaden their experience within a busy finance team.

This varied role offers exposure across financial reporting, statutory compliance, governance, audit, and business partnering, while providing the opportunity to contribute to finance improvement initiatives and develop both technical and commercial expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and financial performance reports.
  • Produce financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for the Board, Executive Team, and Audit & Risk Committee.
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordinate the annual external audit process.
  • Ensure strong financial controls are maintained, supporting governance and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with VAT, PSWT, Revenue, and procurement compliance obligations.
  • Support both internal and external audit activities, ensuring timely delivery of information.
  • Contribute to finance transformation projects, process improvements, and systems enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, improve efficiencies, and automate finance processes.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities.


About You

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
  • Approximately one year’s post-qualification experience gained in practice or industry.
  • Strong external audit exposure obtained during training is highly advantageous.
  • Sound technical accounting knowledge with experience in financial reporting.
  • Good understanding of financial controls, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across the business
