Payroll Manager – 9 months FTC

We are partnering with our client, a leading Top 20 accountancy and taxation practice with a strong presence in the Northeast, to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and oversee a busy payroll bureau team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with strong technical expertise and leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Salary: €50,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the accurate processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
Ensure compliance with PAYE, PRSI, USC, BIK, pensions, and Revenue requirements
Manage payroll deadlines, controls, and quality standards across the bureau
Review complex payroll calculations and statutory payments
Lead payroll-related reporting and process improvement
Team Leadership
Manage, mentor, and support payroll team members
Allocate workloads and ensure service delivery standards are achieved
Provide technical guidance and training on payroll legislation and best practices
Support the ongoing development of payroll processes and team capability
Client Relationship Management
Manage key client relationships and act as the main escalation point for payroll queries
Deliver a high-quality payroll service while ensuring compliance and accuracy
Support business development activities and client onboarding where required
Key Requirements
5+ years' payroll experience, ideally within a payroll bureau environment
IPASS qualified (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and Revenue requirements
Previous people management or team leadership experience
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
