I am currently assisting our client to recruit a General Operative to join their successful and continuous growing team and business located in Co Cavan.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful organisation that offers long-term career prospects, training, and development opportunities. Successful candidates will initially work a day shift (8:30am – 5:00pm) before transitioning to a rotating shift pattern after the training period.

This is a permanent position with immediate opportunities available.

Due to location – Own transport would be required

Salary & Benefits
Pay Rate: €14.50 per hour but progress to €15.75 after probation
20% Shift Allowance

Weekly Shift Rotation:
Monday – Thursday 6am – 2.30pm, Friday 6am – 1.30pm
Monday – Thursday 2.30pm – 10.30pm, Friday 1pm – 8.30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day production and operational activities.
  • Handle and work safely with chemicals in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Carry out manual handling duties, including some heavy lifting.
  • Accurately input data into internal systems and maintain production records.
  • Scan and track products using barcode scanning equipment.
  • Perform tasks requiring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with manufacturing processes and ensure production targets are achieved.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support operational efficiency.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or general operative role is desirable.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment involving manual handling and physical tasks.
  • Valid Manual Handling Certificate
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Good computer skills and confidence using systems for data entry and barcode scanning.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn new processes.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to move onto a rotating shift pattern following the initial training period.
