Electrician (442A) – Toronto
We are partnering with a well-established company that supports power industries across the globe through the design and manufacturing of polymer products.
No two days are the same in this role. You'll be the go-to expert for keeping equipment, systems, and facilities running smoothly and safely.
What You'll Be Doing
Jumping into action when equipment goes down and getting things back up and running as quickly as possible
Responding to emergency maintenance calls when needed
Maintaining and repairing electrical systems, including cabinets, motors, brushes, disconnects, and lighting
Completing preventative maintenance tasks to help avoid unexpected downtime
Managing electrical inventory and ensuring essential supplies are available when needed
Working alongside Engineering to support continuous improvement projects and electrical standards
Collaborating with contractors and other trades to complete projects successfully
Planning, estimating, and managing maintenance projects from start to finish
Building positive relationships through professional communication with customers, vendors, and team members
Sharing your knowledge by coaching, mentoring, and supporting other members of the service team
Managing multiple priorities and projects
Putting safety first and performing all work in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
What We're Looking For
Valid 442A Industrial Electrician License
Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
A team-player attitude with a willingness to lead and support others
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience
PLC programming experience
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Project management or estimating experience
