Managing Director
At Osborne we are recruiting for a Managing Director to join a growing global payments organisation based in Ireland.
The role of Managing Director is a strategic hire to ensure the operations are built out across governance, compliance, financial and sales performance. You will set the strategic direction of the business whilst retaining full accountability for each department’s performance.

Responsibilities:
Lead execution of the business strategy, including growth and market expansion initiatives
Act as the primary accountable individual for the regulated payments business under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness & Probity Regime and Individual Accountability Framework (SEAR)
Identify, evaluate, and sponsor new business opportunities, products, and strategic partnerships
Ensure growth initiatives are aligned with regulatory permissions and risk appetite
Engage with senior stakeholders including the Board, investors, and regulators
Review key management information across compliance, risk, financial performance, and growth metrics
Ensure appropriate oversight of safeguarding, capital, and liquidity in the context of business growth
Oversee international operations and ensure scalable, controlled expansion across jurisdictions
Support and challenge senior leadership (Compliance, Finance, Operations)
Drive a strong culture of accountability, compliance, and responsible growth
Manage escalations, incidents, and regulatory
Requirements:
Have significant senior leadership experience in payments, fintech, or banking, including multi-country operations
Demonstrate strong understanding of regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions (e.g. PSD2, AML, safeguarding)
Have prior experience in a regulated PCF role (or equivalent senior accountability role)
Demonstrate strong commercial judgement in balancing growth, risk, and regulatory obligations
Have experience leading or sponsoring business development and product expansion in a regulated financial environment
Be capable of operating under the Individual Accountability Framework (SEAR) with clear delineation of responsibilities
Exhibit strong governance and cross-border oversight capabilities
Be able to engage credibly with multiple regulators and Board members
Ideally hold relevant qualifications in business, finance, or a related field
