Service Operations Manager
Our client is seeking a Service Operations Manager to lead and develop our national service operation, ensuring high standards across technical service delivery, engineer performance, operational efficiency and customer support. This is a key leadership role within a growing business focused on driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Service team, driving performance, accountability and team development
Oversee daily service scheduling, engineer allocation and installation planning
Manage preventative maintenance programmes and service escalations
Ensure technical service issues are logged, tracked and resolved effectively
Monitor operational KPIs including response times, first-time fix rates and engineer utilisation
Identify recurring technical issues and implement improvement actions
Manage service suppliers, stock control and parts availability
Work cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Sales, Finance, Operations and Quality teams
Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety and operational standards
Candidate Requirements
Proven leadership experience within service, operations or logistics environments
Experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational setting
Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to drive accountability and operational structure
Experience with ERP and service management systems
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Commercially aware with a customer-focused approach
Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
