Responsibilities: Service Delivery
Support the Head of Housing Services in delivering strategic priorities and high-quality, customer-focused services
Oversee lettings performance, ensuring vacant properties are filled efficiently in line with KPIs
Ensure housing management services meet tenancy agreements and all statutory requirements
Put the customer voice at the centre of service delivery, using feedback and complaints to drive improvement
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, community partners, and external agencies
Develop and implement housing policies, ensuring legal compliance and effective staff training
Work collaboratively to deliver services on time, within budget, and aligned with customer needs
Lead a high-performance, customer-focused culture, driving service excellence and continuous improvement
Monitor and review services to encourage innovation, responsiveness, and value for money
Act as operational lead on safeguarding, including advice and policy development
Contribute to out-of-hours management cover on a rota basis
Operations
Lead, manage and support line managers and teams, fostering a motivated, high-performing culture
Provide clear direction, strong communication, and ongoing staff development through appraisals and feedback
Drive service excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring teams have the skills to succeed
Oversee individual and service performance, reporting on KPIs and managing delivery risks
Collaborate as part of the management team, offering informed advice and maintaining up-to-date expertise
Support strategic and financial planning, contributing to business plans and risk management
Assist in setting and achieving departmental targets, including external benchmarking
Monitor service standards and adapt operations to meet changing demands
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
Degree in Housing (or related discipline) or CIH Level 4 qualification (or equivalent)
Proven leadership ability, with strong skills in motivating, developing, and managing teams in a hybrid environment
Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Strong understanding of housing management practices, tenancy law, and regulatory requirements
Experience in performance management, service improvement, and delivering against KPIs
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build effective external partnerships
High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus
Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required
Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle*
