A leading food production company based in West Cork, is seeking a dedicated Quality Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and quality of products and quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage food safety, integrity, and legality, including the maintenance of QMS, HACCP, and production records.
Maintain calibration registers for plant and laboratory equipment.
Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding quality standards, documentation, and queries.
Draft final product specifications.
Monitor quality standards, implement corrective actions, and conduct regular document reviews.
Escalate procedural issues and report quality standards to the Quality Manager.

Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Relevant 3rd level degree.
Strong knowledge of food safety and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation.
Strong communication and organisational skills for liaising with stakeholders.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
