Technical Support Specialist Our client based in Wicklow is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. If you have previous experience and a technical background within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device field, this role may be for you. This role would involve field work and travel abroad.

Key Responsibilities: Support & Troubleshooting
Help customers (internal & external) with technical issues via phone, email, etc.
Troubleshoot systems and assay problems in a clear, logical way
Build strong relationships by resolving issues quickly and professionally
Learn from experts to improve diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Testing & Operations
Assist with testing, shipping, setup, and configuration of equipment
Follow procedures carefully and keep accurate records
Maintain lab equipment and workspaces to quality and safety standards
Help keep inventory systems up to date
Quality & Reporting
Keep CRM records accurate and up to date
Create monthly reports and support quality control activities
Help write and improve test protocols and documentation
Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with Technical Support, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
Support distributor systems and communications
Share clear updates on tasks, issues, and progress
Compliance & Customer Focus
Follow all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
Stay professional, responsive, and customer-focused
Be available via company mobile when needed
Key Requirements:
Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, adaptable approach
Clear and professional communication (written & verbal)
Detail-oriented with good organisation and documentation skills
Full driving license (essential)
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences, or similar
2+ years in technical support, lab, field service, or medical device environments (IVD/analytical experience a plus)
Good understanding of electromechanical systems and lab workflows
Able to troubleshoot issues, find root causes, and suggest improvements
Comfortable working cross-functionally with teams like Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing
Willing to travel and support customers across different regions
