Data Delivery Manager Location: Co. Kildare (Hybrid Working)
Here at Osborne, we are hiring for a Data Delivery Manager on behalf of one of our clients, based in Kildare. This role will play a key role in shaping and delivering enterprise data capabilities. This is a strategic, yet hands-on position, ideal for someone who thrives in both leadership and execution and is passionate about leveraging data to drive business value.
The Role: As a Data Delivery Manager, you will provide thought leadership across enterprise data practices, including data strategy, governance, master data management and lifecycle management. You will take ownership of data delivery across the organisation, ensuring high-quality, reliable and well-governed data is available to support business decision-making. This role requires close collaboration with IT and business stakeholders to understand requirements, influence decisions and implement scalable data solutions aligned with organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the organisation’s data strategy, maximising the value of data as an asset while mitigating risk
Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, policies and standards
Oversee data acquisition, cleansing, maintenance and distribution processes
Manage data quality, consistency and lifecycle across multiple systems
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align data initiatives with business needs
Act as the primary point of contact for data-related support, issues and enhancements
Lead decision-making on enterprise data technologies, tools and processes
Manage third-party data vendors, contracts, SLAs and licensing
Build and maintain business performance dashboards and reporting frameworks
Ensure effective delivery mechanisms so data is accurately consumed across applications
Contribute to areas such as data modelling, MDM, integration and software design
Experience & Skills:
10+ years’ experience in IT, with strong leadership capability
Proven experience managing and delivering complex data solutions
5+ years working with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration frameworks
Experience with large-scale, distributed data environments (e.g. Big Data ecosystems)
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architectures
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
Proficiency in SQL and RDBMS technologies (Oracle, SQL Server advantageous)
Experience translating business requirements into technical designs
Familiarity with data modelling techniques (including predictive modelling)
Exposure to technologies such as Java, NoSQL, JSON, REST or JMS is beneficial
Strong understanding of data governance, risk and operational processes
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Proven decision-making capability with ownership through to delivery
Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across teams
Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Leadership experience, including managing priorities and resources
High levels of professionalism, adaptability and resilience
