Financial Reporting and Analysis (German) – Drogheda
We are proud to partner with our client, a long-established organisation based in Drogheda, who are seeking to appoint a Financial Reporting and Analysis. This role will oversee key financial operations, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors during financial statement audits and supporting the preparation of year-end and statutory accounts.
You will work closely with the Group Tax team and the company’s shareholder on tax-related matters, including collaboration with the ITX team. The role also involves managing period-end processes, overseeing activities delivered by a Managed Service Provider, supporting sustainability reporting requirements, and maintaining robust internal controls within the scope of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main contact for external auditors, coordinating financial statement audits and supporting the preparation of year-end and statutory accounts with the Company.
Coordinate audit requirements across stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of documentation.
Work with the shareholder and Group Tax teams on corporation tax preparation and support VAT submissions with the Indirect Tax team.
Partner with Global Sustainability Reporting teams to manage reporting metrics and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and International Sustainability Standards Board.
Oversee the Managed Service Provider responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register and monthly depreciation processes.
Align with stakeholders on CAPEX budgets and perform regular fixed asset verification
Ensure completion of period-end close processes across relevant entities.
Oversee the Managed Service Provider completing period close tasks and balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain internal control standards across entities within scope.
Manage the balance sheet review process, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
Requirements for the Role:
Professionally qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Experience managing financial statement audits and coordinating external auditors.
Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong analytical capability.
Strong understanding of VAT and statutory financial reporting requirements.
Experience within FMCG environments is advantageous.
Knowledge of German GAAP and German language skills are beneficial.
Highly organised with a structured approach to work.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to make timely, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
