Inventory Technician

Our client in South Dublin is seeking a proactive and experienced Inventory Technician to join their high preforming team on a full-time permanent basis.

If you hold a valid forklift license and have previous stores experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment then this role may be for you!

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a stores/inventory role within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Holds a valid B driving license, and comfortable driving a van.
  • Valid forklift license.
  • Ability to work toward performance targets and KPIs.
  • Proficiency with IT systems such as SAP and ERP.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and process goods, including non-conforming materials.
  • Maintain accurate SAP inventory records and Engineering Spares Master data.
  • Manage spares reservations and kitting for maintenance.
  • Coordinate inter-store transfers and support procurement through purchase tracking and expediting.
  • Perform inventory analysis (cycle counts, ABC, stock movement, supplier lead times, pricing).
  • Support KPIs for stock availability, inventory accuracy, cost control, service to maintenance teams, and continuous improvement.
  • Transport materials between main stores and off-site storage using a company van.
  • Safely load, secure, and unload heavy parts.
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures, maintain 5S standards, and report hazards.
  • Identify process improvements, support cost-reduction initiatives, and maintain visual performance boards.
