Sustainability & Energy Engineer

We are seeking a Sustainability & Energy Engineer to join a purpose-driven organisation based in Arran Quay, Dublin. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to play a key role in delivering energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonisation projects across a diverse property portfolio.

This role has become available due to continued investment in sustainability initiatives and the organisation’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and improving energy performance. The successful candidate will support and deliver energy conservation projects, analyse consumption data, and help drive environmental improvements across multiple facilities.

Salary, Benefit:

Salary: €60,000 – €75,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Annual Leave: Competitive annual leave allowance

Benefits:

10 am to 4 pm.
• Hybrid working model after completion of probation: two days working from home and three days in the 
office. On Wednesday, all staff members are required to be in the office.

Duties / Responsibilities
• Coordinate and support the delivery of sustainability and energy reduction projects
• Analyse energy consumption data and develop energy reduction targets
• Monitor and evaluate building energy performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Support energy-saving and carbon reduction initiatives across facilities
• Assist with funding and grant applications, particularly SEAI grants
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders
• Project manage mechanical and electrical services projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
• Advise on energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental impact of projects
• Assist with energy audits and implementation of audit recommendations
• Act as a key point of contact for sustainability and energy-related initiatives

Key Requirements
• Degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sustainability, or related discipline
• Experience in energy management, sustainability, or building services engineering
• Experience analysing energy consumption data and identifying efficiency improvements
• Strong project coordination or project management skills
• Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and sustainability best practices
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desired Skills
• Experience working on sustainability or decarbonisation projects
• Knowledge of SEAI grants and funding applications
• Experience managing mechanical and electrical building services projects
• Experience working with consultants and contractors
• Knowledge of energy audits and environmental reporting
• Experience working across multiple sites or property portfolios
