Our client, a growing organisation within the engineering and manufacturing sector, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project & Engineering Supply Chain Assistant to join their Supply Chain team in Carrigtwohill.
This is a dynamic and fast-paced role supporting engineering projects, purchasing activities, stock control, and general administration. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, warehouse, quality, and finance teams to ensure materials, documentation, and logistics are managed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities
Assist in the creation and issuing of Quotations, Work Orders, and Purchase Orders for engineering projects and stock.
Manage and track Purchase Orders from order placement through to delivery and invoicing.
Confirm pricing and delivery dates with suppliers and customers.
Monitor supplier lead times and support effective stock control.
Conduct supplier research to secure competitive pricing and discounts where applicable.
Coordinate transport and logistics for goods inwards and outwards, including domestic and international shipments.
Work closely with Quality teams regarding new materials, certifications, and validation requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across systems, including Sage and Excel.
Attend meetings relevant to the role and follow up on assigned actions.
Provide administrative and site cover for colleagues when required.
Ensure all duties are carried out in compliance with company policies, Quality standards, GMP/GDP guidelines, Health & Safety procedures, and Manual Handling requirements.
Requirements
Previous experience in a supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or administrative role (engineering/manufacturing environment desirable).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience using Sage 50 (desirable)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work, including occasional travel to other sites if required.
