Payroll Administrator – Slane – Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Payroll Administrator with a minimum of three years’ experience managing high-volume payrolls, for our client, a specialist in energy services operating across Ireland and Europe, based in Slane. This is a hands-on payroll role, suited to someone who can confidently manage more than routine timesheet entry and monthly payrolls. The role requires a strong focus on data checking, accuracy and deadlines, supported by an analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail.

Salary: €35,000 – €38,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with fortnightly and monthly payroll processing for Ireland, the UK and Europe

  • Collate and review weekly timesheet data via NTD, ensuring accuracy

  • Calculate wage payments and liaise with project leads to resolve discrepancies

  • Process annual leave, employee benefits, new starters and leavers

  • Act as first point of contact for employee payroll queries

  • Support biometric setup for new employee profiles

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation

  • Produce monthly payroll reports, returns and reconciliations

  • Ensure strict adherence to payroll and Revenue deadlines

  • Work closely with HR to ensure accurate and timely data flow

Key Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ payroll or payroll administration experience (essential)

  • Payroll qualification or strong hands-on payroll experience (desirable)

  • Experience working in less structured payroll environments, beyond standard timesheet entry

  • Experience with multi-jurisdictional payroll advantageous

  • Strong Excel and payroll systems experience

  • High attention to detail with strong analytical skills

  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet tight deadlines

  • Knowledge of employment legislation and statutory entitlements

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
