Finance Manager

Osborne are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager for our client based in Little Island. 

Salary: 70 to 75K DOE

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the business, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, and timely insights to support decision-making. This is a hands-on role within an SME environment, combining operational finance with strategic input.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting & Forecasting – building, updating, reporting against, variance control
  • Prepare Monthly Mgt. Performance Pack
  • Manage cashflow reporting & forecasting
  • Performance Metrics – robust, reporting, re-define and automate where possible
  • Cost control & supporting efficiency metrics
  • Oversee AP, AR & payroll activities
  • Ensure compliance with Irish tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, CT returns)
  • Liaise with external 3rd party accountants & auditors
  • Maintain adequate internal controls, policies & procedures
  • Provide financial input into commercial decisions and pricing
  • Seek ERP or accounting system enhancements that streamline finance activities

The Person

  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with non-finance stakeholders, and ability to challenge them if required.
  • Can elevate themselves out of day to day to provide senior mgt. team with context for improving & supporting business decisions
  • Reporting to the Managing Director, with 1 direct report (accounts administrator)
  • Member of the company’s senior management team

Preferable Qualifications & Experience

  • ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years Post Qualification experience 
  • Financial Systems – Quickbooks, Xero, Sage
  • Prior experience in an SME or hands-on finance role highly desirable
