Senior Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting an experienced Management Accountant on a 18 month FTC basis for our client based in Co. Cavan. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established nutrition manufacturing company offering strong exposure and potential career progression.
You will be responsible for preparing, analysing, and presenting financial data to support both strategic planning and day-to-day operational decision-making across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse material usage and investigate variances across raw materials and packaging.

  • Partner with Operations and Technical teams to drive data accuracy, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lead standard costing processes, including overhead integration, absorption calculations, and reconciliations.

  • Prepare BOM analysis and costing for new product launches, plant expansions, and RCE projects.

  • Support quarterly and annual planning (LBEs), S&OP reviews, and absorption projections.

  • Deliver month-end close activities including journals, reconciliations, variance analysis, and performance reporting.

  • Track cost changes and scenario impacts throughout project approval cycles.

  • Act as Finance Representative on NPI and Pier processes, supporting project costing and governance.

  • Coordinate internal and external audit requirements and annual stock take processes.

  • Provide financial support to site projects, operational decision-making, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Professional accountancy qualification essential (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines, and demonstrate sound judgement.
