Are you an experienced professional with a strong background in Polymer Processing? We are hiring for a Process Technician on behalf of one of our well-known clients in the Manufacturing Industry. As a process technician, you will play a key role in optimising production processes, driving continuous improvement, and achieving operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Location: Leixlip, Co. Kildare Salary: €40,000 – €50,000 (Dependent on Experience) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Technical Supervisors, the Process Technician will:
Execute equipment setups and tool changeovers as part of production runs.
Monitor process start-ups and oversee process performance during runs to meet production targets.
Take ownership of process escalations, troubleshooting and resolving issues using a systematic root-cause approach.
Support the development and improvement of existing processes through advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support new project implementation.
Assist in creating documentation, training materials, and work instructions where applicable.
Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping, ensuring machines and equipment are kept in safe and clean conditions.
Ensure compliance with Quality, GMP requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
A degree in Polymer Processing is essential.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role within a plastics production environment.
A strong knowledge of engineering, mechanics, and/or electronics, with the ability to apply a scientific and analytical approach to problem-solving.
Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) is an advantage.
Excellent technical capabilities, communication skills, and interpersonal abilities.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving as part of a team.
