Fund Accountant

As a Fund Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely financial operations for sovereign funds. This hands-on position requires daily management reporting, NAV analysis, reconciliation, and close collaboration with custodians, investees, and other stakeholders.

Contract Type: Permanent

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified/qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Third-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2 years in Fund Accounting, with essential knowledge of hedge markets and desirable exposure to private market products.
  • Familiarity with investments (e.g., equities, bonds, funds, loans, derivatives).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of journal entry processes and Custodian oversight roles.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt and work independently.

Key Responsibilities
Daily and Monthly Reporting:

  • Prepare management reports, cash projections, and cash activity tracking.
  • Perform daily review and analysis of Fund NAV and Custodian reports.

Reconciliation and Administration

  • Prepare and reconcile accounting journals and ensure accuracy of custodial data.
  • Manage investor notices, capital account statements, and fund documentation.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise with custodians, general partners, investees, and borrowers to resolve queries.
  • Work with internal teams to maintain a robust control environment and enhance workflows.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with tax advisor documentation and investor reviews.
  • Support new market openings by preparing relevant forms and documentation.
  • Participate in projects and ad hoc tasks as needed.
