Part Qualified Accountant  – 6 Month Temporary Contract

Osborne Recruitment is seeking an experienced Part Qualified Accountant for a 6-month temporary contract with a leading public sector organization in Dublin. This role will initially focus on the professional preparation of financial statements, account reconciliations, cost analysis, report writing and supporting finance and audit processes related to the financial control and governance of the organization.
The Part Qualified Accountant will be responsible for all necessary communication and follow up with external parties (e.g; auditors, banks, hospitals, suppliers etc). In addition, the Part Qualified Trainee Accountant will carry out such duties appropriate to the office as may be assigned by the Financial Accountant.

Salary: €55,644 (pro rata)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Financial Accountant with the preparation of Annual Financial statements including liaison with Comptroller and Auditor General.
• Prepare the Monthly Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet reconciliation and PSWT reconciliations. 
• Support the Financial Accountant with the preparation of the monthly management accounts including the preparation of accruals and prepayments
• To participate in the development and implementation of information systems with particular reference to organisation-wide integrated IT systems; to determine and promote management accounting vision for same.
• Preparation of all working papers and file for presentation together with financial statements for external audit and annual reports.
• Provide support and documentation where required for the Internal Audit Function.
• Liaising with and dealing with all queries raised by the external auditor.
• Facilitate and support the integration of accounts information with internal systems.

Requirements:

• Part Qualified Trainee Accountant (APA, ACCA, Chartered or CIMA)
• Third level qualification required, preferably in business, finance, accountancy or other closely related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience.
