Assistant Accountant

We are working with a client in Co Meath, who is looking to hire an Assistant Accountant to work in the finance team, you will report directly to the Commercial Accountant!
The client is seeking some with a retail or FMCG background and stock reconciliation is a distinct advantage, if you are part qualified and have the above background apply today to Valerie.briody@osborne.ie
This role is Hybrid after training.
Working in a large finance team- the client is looking for a candidate that wants to add value to the company. The primary function of this role is to assist the accountant in preparing the monthly management accounts, balance sheet and all other associated duties within the Finance Team.

Requirements for this role:

  • Stock Reconciliations
  • Assisting preparation of monthly accounts
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Raising weekly/monthly invoices & ad hoc Billing
  • Liaise with respective business partners regularly
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reports for management and business partners
  • Deferred Revenue/Accrued revenue
  • Logistics Accruals/ Inter departmental l journals
  • Intercompany
  • Assist in audit process
  • Other ad hoc duties

Requirements for Role:

  • 2 Years working in a busy practice or 2 years in a relevant FMCG / Retail environment in an assistant accountant role.
  • Analytical with a strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work with large volume of Data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A can-do attitude
  • Exercises independent judgement and multi-task orientated
  • Takes initiative & ownership of responsibilities
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • University/College degree preferable
  • Very strong Microsoft Office particularly a strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, macros etc.)
  • D365 Experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Must have an interest in pursuing an accountancy qualification (ACCA CIMA ACA) or be part Qualified
