An exciting short-term opportunity has arisen for a Sales Order Commercial Controller to join our client’s team on a 6-month fixed-term contract in Dublin 11. This pivotal role supports project coordination and ensures on-time delivery by managing sales orders, purchase orders, and supplier/vendor relationships. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and gain hands-on experience in sales order processing and commercial control. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with experience in sales order processing or project administration. Construction industry experience is preferred but not essential.
Location: Dublin 11 (Hybrid flexibility available) Salary: €35K pro-rata Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Order Management: Process customer orders, validate order details, and ensure timely, accurate shipment.
Customer Support: Respond to inquiries, provide order updates, and resolve issues efficiently.
Delivery Coordination: Collaborate with delivery teams to optimize service levels.
Sales Order Validation: Confirm planned costs and margins during the handover process.
Invoicing: Generate accurate invoices in line with customer purchase orders and agreed payment terms.
Subcontractor Management: Register contract works on ROS and issue RCT numbers.
Supplier Management: Raise and issue purchase orders, follow up on delivery lead times, and resolve queries.
Financial Oversight: Manage WIP and accruals, liaise with accounts payable, and prepare monthly KPIs (e.g., profit margin erosion, revenue forecasting).
Meeting Participation: Actively update and manage open orders/projects during weekly project meetings.
Data Management: Maintain customer and vendor master data and ensure compliance with governance and audit standards.
Key Skills and Experience:
Sales order processing, project administration, or similar experience.
Familiarity with financial processes, including invoicing, cost management, and credit control.
Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency in resolving customer and vendor queries.
Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Third-level qualification in business, finance, accounting, or project management (or equivalent experience).
