Policy Officer (Executive Officer)

Osborne Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a leading government agency in Dublin 4 to recruit a Policy Officer to join their Policy and Strategic Planning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly organised individual to contribute to key policy initiatives, support the development of strategic plans, and work closely with a variety of stakeholders.

As a Policy Officer (Executive Officer), you will provide support across multiple projects and initiatives, playing a key role in policy development, research, and reporting. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality administrative support, drafting documents, and helping to ensure the smooth running of meetings, events, and other key activities.

Location: Dublin 4 (Hybrid Role)
Rate: €20 per hour
Contract: Temporary (3-6 months)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of policies and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in managing and evaluating various projects, ensuring progress is tracked and milestones are met.
  • Review, analyse, and compile reports and statistical data from higher education institutions.
  • Draft proposals, reports, and guidelines.
  • Prepare presentations and briefings for internal and external stakeholders, committees, and working groups.
  • Conduct desktop research, providing analysis and insights.
  • Provide administrative support to committees and working groups, including minute-taking and document management.
  • Assist with the organisation of meetings, conferences, and other events.
  • Prepare documentation for the Board and contribute to executive reports.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Senior Manager and team as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise reports, proposals, and other documents.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in supporting committees or working groups and preparing documentation for circulation.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
