Accounts Assistant

Here at Osborne, our client is currently looking for a highly organized Accounts Administrator to join their Accounting & Finance team.

This role is perfect for someone who excels in data accuracy, values efficient communication, especially by phone, and enjoys working with a variety of financial tasks. If you have a knack for meeting KPIs, maintaining financial consistency, and collaborating across departments, this role is an excellent fit. You’ll work alongside the Head of Finance to support all Accounts Receivable operations, in addition to contributing to bookkeeping and general financial management. This role involves daily interaction with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, making effective communication skills essential.

Location: Blarney, Cork

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts receivables, ensuring accurate, up-to-date records and handling customer queries as needed.
  • Manage debt collection via phone and email, process customer payments, and ensure adherence to credit policies.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and assist with monthly close procedures to meet deadlines.
  • Generate weekly KPI and performance reports for the Head of Finance.
  • Take charge of supplier invoicing, supplier reconciliations, and bank reconciliation.
  • Provide support to the finance team and perform general administrative and data entry tasks related to financial operations.

  • Analytical approach and problem-solving ability

Preferred Experience & Requirements:

  • At least 2 years in a similar role, ideally in accounts receivable or payable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, G Suite, PowerPoint, and experience with ERP or accounting software.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional phone manner.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities and multi-task across financial functions.
