HR Operations Manager

Osborne Recruitment is partnering with our client in the healthcare industry to find an experienced HR Operations Manager. This role is critical in supporting over 1,900 employees and will report directly to the Director of Human Resources. The HR Operations Manager will oversee the Recruitment Team, HR Business Partners, and the HR Operations Team to provide effective HR support across the employee lifecycle, contributing to a culture of excellence, compassion, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR services and support operational growth.
  • Drive change management projects in a dynamic, growing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry quality standards through audits and robust processes.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive work culture.

Operational Management

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Collaborate with the Recruitment Manager to support all hiring processes.
  • HR Business Partnering: Lead the HR Business Partner team to proactively support staff and management.
  • Records Management: Oversee HR Operations to ensure accurate, confidential, and compliant record-keeping.
  • HR Processes: Develop best-in-class HR practices, documentation, and workflows.
  • Payroll: Ensure accurate, timely payroll submissions to the Finance team.
  • Compensation: Lead the annual pay review process for the organization.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the annual appraisal process with HR Business Partners.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Educate staff on policies and ensure adherence to HR legislation and company standards.
  • Policy Development: Implement HR policies, update the employee handbook, and ensure consistent communication.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate development programs.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with departments to support organizational goals.

People Management

  • Foster a positive, high-performing team environment within HR Operations.
  • Manage team attendance, absences, and annual leave.
  • Guide team members through mentoring, coaching, and development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or MSc in a Human Resources field with CIPD membership.
  • Senior-level HR experience in a complex, high-volume, multi-shift environment.
  • Strong MS Office proficiency, analytical skills, and a solid understanding of employment laws.
