Are you an experienced Production Manager with a passion for food manufacturing? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where quality, innovation, and teamwork come together? We have an exciting opportunity with a well-established, rapidly growing food manufacturer based in Tallaght, known for producing award-winning, authentic ready meals loved by customers nationwide. You'll be joining a company that is leading the industry with its commitment to quality, sustainability, and excellence in production. We’re looking for a results-driven and dynamic Production Manager to take the lead in managing, optimizing, and improving production processes to meet customer demands and drive operational success.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and Inspire: Take full ownership of the production facility’s performance—maximizing efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization to meet customer demands without compromising on quality.
Drive Excellence in Food Safety: Implement and maintain the company’s FSQMS (Food Safety & Quality Management System), ensuring strict compliance with food safety and quality standards across all production lines.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Quality, HR, and Material Supply, ensuring smooth communication and alignment of production goals.
Manage Data & Performance: Oversee the generation of production and management data, ensuring it is monitored, analyzed, and acted upon to improve performance and meet key business targets.
Reduce Waste, Maximize Efficiency: Champion a zero-waste approach in handling ingredients and finished products while maintaining full control over costs and staying within budget.
Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives throughout all production processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
Audit-Ready: Ensure the production facility is always audit-ready, maintaining high standards for both announced and unannounced audits.
React and Lead in Real-Time: Manage the day-to-day activities by walking the production floor, taking swift and effective action to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
Develop and Lead Teams: Chair regular production meetings, manage rosters, and support team development through employee appraisals, probation reviews, and performance management.
Innovate & Adapt: Propose new initiatives, update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and define training frameworks to ensure processes stay ahead of industry trends and evolving needs.
Empower Leadership: Ensure shift supervisors are well-equipped with the training and skills needed to lead their teams and drive results.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of Leadership Experience: Proven track record in a similar production management role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
HACCP Certification (Level 3): Expertise in food safety and quality management.
Ready Meals Experience: Previous experience working in a ‘ready meals’ production facility would be a significant advantage.
Strong Business Acumen: You understand the dynamics of a fast-moving manufacturing business and have the financial and numeracy skills to back up your decision-making.
Proven Team Development: A leader who thrives on developing teams, nurturing talent, and fostering a positive and high-performing culture.
Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Solid experience in implementing Lean principles and driving continuous improvement across production lines.
Exceptional Communication Skills: You’re a natural communicator who can engage stakeholders at all levels—whether through data analysis, written reports, or verbal discussions.
Can-Do Attitude: Optimistic, enthusiastic, and solution-focused, you bring energy and positivity to everything you do.
What’s in it for YOU?
Career Growth: This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and lead within a forward-thinking, industry-leading company.
Innovative Environment: Work with cutting-edge technology and a passionate team committed to producing top-quality food products.
