We are currently recruiting a Procurement Engineer to join a manufacturing organisation in North Dublin. This role you will need to be a motivated Procurement engineer that enjoys working on exciting project that make a real impact in this organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Work in a fast-paced engineering environment, supporting new product introduction and design changes to ensure we make the best decision for part design, manufacturing, and supplier selection.
Bring supplier innovation into our designs by involving them early in the process
Lead cost saving project and value engineering exercises with suppliers and engineers
Identify the best supplier and secure partnerships through competitive sourcing
Manage supplier changes to reduce rick and improve performance.
Work closely with procurement R&D manufacturing and quality teams to drive improvement and optimise the supply chain.
Key Requirements:
A BA in Engineering or related Science discipline or relevant experience in procurement or supply chain.
3 years + experience in procurement or technical roles ideally in an electro mechanical manufacturing environment
Key interest in supplier technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes
Knowledge of supplier processer including metal fabrication, plastic moulding and PCBA along with early involvement practices like ESI and Design for Manufacturing
Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build strong relationship both internally and with suppliers
