Project Manager

Osborne are partnering with a national organisation to recruit a dynamic Project Manager on a 12- month fixed-term contract. You’ll support the delivery of an industry targeted government-funded digital platform. Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in successfully delivering this high-profile project.

Role Overview:

  • We are seeking a motivated individual who can manage multiple tasks, engage with stakeholders, plan events, and oversee the development of our digital platform. Working with a cross-functional team and external partners, you’ll ensure the project meets its milestones on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead communications with industry experts, government bodies, and educational institutions to encourage collaboration on the project.
  • Event Planning & Management: Plan and manage both regional events and the national launch. This includes organising venues, arranging speakers, developing content, and engaging attendees.
  • Marketing & PR Support: Support the marketing team in promoting the project across digital channels.
  • Content Management: Collaborate with the content researcher to develop and update content for the platform, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Presentation Delivery: Create and deliver clear, impactful presentations about the project to various audiences.
  • Project Reporting: Provide monthly updates to the client on progress, key milestones, KPIs, and any challenges to ensure the project stays on track.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the project budget, delivering cost-effective results without compromising quality.
  • Collaboration with Partners: Coordinate with the technology partner to ensure the platform meets agreed requirements within the set timeline.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with the project team, including senior project managers, content researchers, marketing, finance, and admin staff, to maintain effective communication and project flow.

Key Skills:

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead a project, meeting objectives on time and within budget.
  • Time Management: Skilled in planning, prioritising, and managing multiple tasks.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders in different settings.
  • Presentation Skills: Confident in creating and delivering presentations that effectively communicate the project’s aims and topics.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with project management tools (such as MS Project or Trello) to oversee tasks and stakeholder communication.
  • Negotiation & Problem Solving: Skilled in conflict resolution, negotiation, and handling complex project demands.

Experience:

  • Degree-level qualification.
  • At least 4 years of project management experience, ideally in digital or technology-focused projects.
  • Experience managing digital projects, particularly involving platform development or content management.
  • Event planning experience, working with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress or Squarespace) and webinar platforms like MS Teams or Zoom.
  • Post-graduate qualification in project management
  • Finger on the pulse of social media trends
