Accountant

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Accountant with a strong background in the manufacturing sector to join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who is well-versed in cost accounting and keen to make an impact in a hands-on environment. The successful candidate will contribute to accurate financial reporting, analysis, and cost control, supporting informed decision-making across the business.

Location: North Dublin
Salary: €70,000
Hours: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting tasks, including reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting
  • Prepare, analyse, and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and trends
  • Collaborate closely with production and procurement teams to optimise cost efficiency
  • Conduct budget forecasts, financial modelling, and profitability analysis
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
  • Participate in audits and support continuous improvement in accounting processes

About You:

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with demonstrable experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Cost Accounting Knowledge – Prior exposure to cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous
  • Analytical Skills – Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software – Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
  • Communication – Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
