Group Finance/Reporting Accountant

Our client, a forward-thinking and rapidly expanding company, is seeking a newly qualified accountant, ideally with Big 6 experience, to join their team as a Group Finance/Reporting Accountant. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and will have the opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of the operational side of the business. Location: Dublin 15/ Meath
Reporting to: Group Financial Controller
Salary: €65,000 – €70,000
Retention Bonus: €5,000
Annual Leave: 25 days
Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the business regarding financial queries and requests.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and inventory valuations, enhancing the existing management reporting package.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly consolidation files.
  • Lead the liaison with external auditors for the preparation of year-end statutory accounts, and coordinate with company secretarial and corporation tax service providers.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Participate in and add value to ad-hoc projects, such as acquisition integrations.
  • Develop and improve financial analysis tools used to assess ongoing group performance.
  • Create detailed sales reports and conduct margin analysis by product, brand, and customer for senior management review.
  • Identify and challenge costs and processes to achieve financial savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Seek opportunities for further automation within financial processes.

Requirements:

  • Newly qualified accountant, ideally from a Big 6 background.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Enthusiastic about embracing an evolving role, with a proven ability to take on and complete new challenges.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Excel and general IT skills.
