HR Generalist  
Location: Dublin 
Type: Full-time, Hybrid Working 

 

Overview 
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist on behalf of our client a leading Legal Firm  in Dublin City Centre.
This role is situated within the firm's growing HR function and is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
The successful candidate will also coordinate the business support resources, ensuring adequate cover throughout the firm and the timely completion of Dictaphone recordings.
Our client's HR function facilitates the delivery of a high level of HR services that both partners and employees have come to expect. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Onboarding: Welcome employees as they join the firm, liaise with Heads of Departments and the Technical Trainer to coordinate and assist with the delivery of the firm’s induction programme. 
  • Probation Management: Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate the employee probation process. 
  • HR Information System (HRIS) Administration: Administer all employee leave requests, absence management, and employee data via BambooHR. 
  • Business Support Team Management: Ensure full business support cover within the firm and serve as the first point of contact for the business support team. 
  • HR Advice: Provide advice in line with best practices and firm policies and procedures. 
  • Policy Updates and Renewal: Ensure all firm policies are up-to-date and reflect changes in legislation. 
  • Culture & Environment: Foster and encourage a positive and healthy working environment for all employees. 
  • Employee Wellbeing Programme: Promote employee wellbeing throughout the firm. 
  • HR Administration: Ensure all HR administration tasks are completed in a timely manner. 
  • Grievance & Disciplinary Support: Support the grievance and disciplinary processes within the firm as needed. 
  • Recruitment & Selection: Support the recruitment process for the business support team. 
  • Employee Development & Performance Management: Assist in managing employee development and performance management processes. 
  • Learning & Development: Promote the firm’s values and objectives through ongoing learning and development initiatives. 
  • Employee Engagement: Support and drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement. 
  • Promote Equality & Diversity: Ensure the firm's commitment to equality and diversity is upheld. 

Person Specification: 
The successful candidate will: 

  • Hold a HR qualification. 
  • Have 3+ years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably within a legal or professional services firm. 
  • Be committed to delivering a best-in-class HR service. 
  • Be capable of working both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic. 
  • Possess strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor, enabling effective engagement with the workforce. 
  • Display a professional approach, demonstrating integrity, confidentiality, and discretion. 
  • Have an analytical mindset, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in numeracy and IT. 
  • Show a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and diligence in all tasks.
