Business Development Manager – Permanent 

Salary: 65K + Commission 

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with customers and clients over the phone, face-to-face and through written channels.
  • Generating leads, cold-calling potential customers and develop relationships with current, active and prospective clients.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and growth areas.
  • Identifying useful trends for your company.
  • Establishing aims and objectives in line with the company strategy.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering presentations to clients.
  • Providing feedback to management.
  • Managing, completing and submitting company tender documents in line with requirements.
  • Create compelling tender documents that accurately represent the company offer
  • Maintain an active tender library.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director, Operations Team and other company resources in developing bespoke solutions i.e. tender documentation and food concepts
  • Attend relevant industry events, conferences and seminars to keep abreast of industry trends and to maximise brand awareness.
  • Support the company retention plan with current clients.
  • Actively promote Carroll Food Services across social media channels
  • Maintain an accurate CRM database of current, active and prospective clients

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Hospitality, Tourism, Business Management.
  • 10 years’ experience in the Irish hospitality sector ideally within the Irish contract catering sector.
  • Keen interest in food and keeping up to date with new international food concepts and trends.
  • Minimum of 5 years Business Development Experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial and trading accounts.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication, and proficiency in the English Language.
  • Strong MS PowerPoint skills and proficient with all Microsoft applications.
  • Previous experience in pitching business to all levels of management.
  • Proven record of achieving and exceeding targets/KPI’s set.
  • The ability to manage time is a large part of this role; therefore, is its essential that applicants are proficient in managing their time successfully.
  • Travelling throughout the Republic of Ireland is a large part of the role; applicants must have access to car and hold a full clean driver’s licence.
  • The ability to be proactive, organised and handle work under tight deadlines.
  • A professional demeanour that is representative of the company.
