Manufacturing Engineer

The Osborne Tech and Eng team are currently recruiting for the role of Manufacturing Engineer to join our client operating in the Healthcare diagnostic sector. The successful incumbent will work with all site personnel to make a real difference to the lives of people in this exciting R and D project.

Requirements:

  • Engineering or Science Discipline Diploma qualification with relevant experience in automation/systems manufacturing or support
  • Structured analysis skills with experience in complex technical trouble shooting.
  • Strong manufacturing, mechanical/ electro mechanical / systems design skillset for both products and manufacturing fixtures.

Competencies required:

  • Deliver technical support to the manufacturing and testing of medical device instrumentation in a low volume, high complexity and regulated environment.
  • Deliver technical solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability.
  • Work within a dynamic engineering change environment; actively supporting design transfer, test fixtures and engineering design change activities to ensure optimisation in terms of part design, manufacturing technology, verification and validation activities, implementation to production.
  • Work with R&D, manufacturing operations, quality & procurement to deliver product and supply base improvements to meet business needs.
  • Lead projects to drive continuous improvement in key metric's in alignment with Lean, 6 Sigma, Design Robustness and A3 Problem Solving Principles

Key functions:

  • Problem solving, planning, analytical skills. Ability to collate and analyse large amounts of data for decision making.
  • Interest in data visualisation and analytics.
  • Excellent oral communications, report writing skills and presentation skills
  • Self-directing, goal oriented and able to prioritize workload in an Agile environment.
  • Team player who can build strong and influential relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
