Part Qualified Accountant

Osborne Recruitment are hiring on behalf of our client, a well-known and highly reputable accounting practice in Cork. Due to its expanding client base, our client is seeking to fill the following position:
As a Part Qualified Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing clients on a daily basis, addressing their accounting and financial requirements.

You will work as part of a team of professionals dedicated to delivering the highest quality of service to all clients. Preparation of financial statements and reporting will constitute a significant portion of your day-to-day responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and demonstrate proficiency in working with numbers with meticulous attention to detail.

Salary: €35 to €45K DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure accurate recording of all business transactions.
  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accounts payable records and conduct reconciliations.
  • Assist in processing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial statements in compliance with legal and company accounting guidelines.
  • Support the review of expenses, payroll records, and other financial documentation as assigned.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data in databases for immediate availability when required.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports as necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly accounts.
  • Collaborate on other accounting projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in working with numbers and figures.
  • Must have practice experience – minimum 1 year
  • Analytical acumen to interpret financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite and familiarity with relevant accounting software (e.g., SAGE).
  • Pursuing relevant qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA
