Group Accountant

Osborne are currently recruiting for a Group Accountant for our client based in Mallow, you will be responsible for managing clients on a daily basis, overseeing their accounting and financial requirements. Leading a team of professionals, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality service to all clients. Your duties will include preparing and filing financial statements, managing tax filings, producing management and annual accounts, attending board meetings, and leading a team of five. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting principles are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships and conduct regular meetings to address their accounting needs.
  • Prepare and file CRO (Companies Registration Office) filings.
  • Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax returns.
  • Produce accurate and timely management accounts for clients on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare annual accounts in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance.
  • Schedule staff assignments and ensure effective resource allocation within the team of five.
  • Lead client projects to ensure timely completion and client satisfaction.
  • Attend board meetings to provide financial insights and updates.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage client relationships and lead a team.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks, including monthly management accounts and tax returns, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in working with numbers and financial data.
  • Analytical acumen to interpret financial information and make informed decisions.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with accounting software such as SAGE.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA are required.
