The Maintenance Mechanical Technician plays a crucial role in optimizing line performance by closely collaborating with production, focusing on problem-solving, and implementing preventive maintenance measures. Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary support for production, collaborating closely with the electrical technician to enhance performance.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues within the manufacturing plant.
Participate in daily changeovers and start-ups.
Work as an integral part of the production team.
Execute daily preventive maintenance tasks and checks.
Prepare for and contribute to weekly preventive maintenance meetings.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to address maintenance downtime, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve plant-related issues.
Ensure adherence to control systems and agreed-upon preventive maintenance protocols.
Assist in maintaining the parts system with the Maintenance Administrator.
Contribute to Project Management for capital and continuous improvement projects under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager.
Participate in Supplier meetings.
Review weekly preventive maintenance plans to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a regulated industry/environment; qualified Trades Fitter/mechanic qualifications are considered.
Excellent PC skills.
