Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a meticulous and skilled Quality Control Technician to join our esteemed team.

As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the systems and modules through rigorous testing, inspection, and analysis.
Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to upholding standards will be instrumental in maintaining a  reputation for excellence in manufacturing.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Set up and test systems and sub-assemblies according to designated test specifications until all criteria are met.
  • Perform inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules, and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Prepare samples, reagents, and diluents for chemical testing of systems and modules.
  • Identify causes of malfunction and non-conformance in electrical, hydraulic, and chemical operations with minimal test time loss.
  • Verify each system against branch orders to ensure accurate delivery to customers.
  • Assist Engineering in installing and verifying new test procedures, equipment, and products.
  • Contribute to the design of test fixtures, inspection procedures, and preliminary system test protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and test data for each system/module to ensure comprehensive quality control records.
  • Oversee and check repair work to ensure it conforms to company specifications.
  • Adhere to quality control procedures related to material flow, handling, defective material processing, and acceptance/rejection procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of safety protocols and handle hazardous materials with caution.
  • Provide training to new personnel or existing Technicians on unfamiliar systems or modules.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Third-level qualification (Engineering Degree/Diploma/QQI Level 6 Certificate in Engineering).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to train new personnel or existing technicians on unfamiliar systems or modules.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, including Word, Excel, Microsoft Windows, SAP, etc.
