Agricultural Mechanics
A leading Agricultural Dealership is currently seeking Agricultural Mechanics to join one of their many branches across Northern Saskatchewan, Canada.

The organisation is coming to Ireland and the UK in April and is available to meet candidates.

Role of Agricultural Mechanic:

  • Inspection, diagnosis, repair, and service of agricultural equipment with a commitment to customer support and pride in workmanship.
  • Apply the use of specialized tools, cutting edge technology, and innovative solutions to diagnose and complete complex repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on equipment and related components.
  • Maintain current knowledge of John Deere agriculture products.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and basic computer functions.
  • Participate in John Deere University training and dealer-led training to further develop skills and technical capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Education and minimum 3+ year’s proven experience in the theory, diagnostics and repair of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electronics.
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
  • Master Service Technician (or equivalent) certification preferred
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and comprehension of the English language
  • Must be fluent in verbal and oral English communications.
