Osborne Executive Search is seeking a Project Manager, who will hold ultimate responsibility for overseeing project management activities throughout Ireland.

The role is seeking a self-motivated and ambitious candidate who is looking to join a growing organisation. The role will include business development with existing and new clients, supported by the existing management team.
In addition, to the above the candidate may also bring their own current contacts and connections to the role so that these can form part of the further growth of the organisation.
Subject to performance the role would also have the potential for the candidate to become part of the overall management team within the organisation and drive the strategic direction of the organisation going forward.
On this basis, the successful candidate would be responsible for growing a team of project managers under their direction, to deliver existing and new projects.  

This would include ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of projects, enhancing pre-delivery business processes, and ensuring client satisfaction with project outcomes.
You would play a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring the successful delivery of projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for providing single-point responsibility, clear direction, and effective management throughout the project lifecycle. Your role will involve working closely with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to define project goals, establish timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement/Briefing & Business Development: Collaborate with clients to understand their project requirements, goals, and expectations. Assist clients in distilling their project goals into a clear and deliverable brief. Seek additional business opportunities with existing clients and develop contacts and connections with new clients in order to win new work for the company.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Coordinate with design teams, contractors, subcontractors and the companies internal team to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Motivate and manage your internal team, design teams to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities, maintain focus on project goals, and foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Schedule Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress against the master schedule, identify potential risks and deviations, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Provide regular updates and reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Cost Management: Create maximum cost certainty by closely monitoring project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and mitigating financial risks.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and certification requirements. Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to uphold quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Completion and Delivery: Work diligently to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders. Manage the handover process and facilitate any necessary post-project activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction or real estate industry.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Sound knowledge of project management principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is desirable.
