Senior Payroll Manager – Permanent

Location: Dublin 2

Hybrid: 2-3 Days in Office

Salary: €70,000+ (DOE)

Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (Monday – Friday)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of payroll regulations, and previous experience in a payroll bureau setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including domestic and international payroll.
  • Mentor and oversee a team of payroll professionals.
  • Handle billing, budgeting, and preparation of invoices.
  • Contribute to department planning and strategic objectives.
  • Provide advice on employer compliance obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with real-time reporting and payroll tax filing.
  • Uphold quality control procedures.
  • Coordinate payroll audits and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Drive continual process improvement and standardization.
  • Stay updated on accounting and regulatory standards.
  • Build strong client relationships.
  • Promote financial accounting and outsourcing services.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a busy payroll bureau environment.
  • IPASS qualified.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of payroll processes.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Ambitious with a passion for career progression.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple engagements.
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
