Head of Marketing and Business Development – Professional Services

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Our client, a leading Irish professional services firm, is seeking a dynamic and accomplished Head of Marketing and Business Development to lead their marketing and drive business growth.
This role is pivotal in developing and executing integrated marketing and business development strategies to enhance brand presence, drive client acquisition, and advance business evolution.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a deep understanding of the professional services industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and business development strategies to increase brand awareness, drive client acquisition, and foster business growth.
  • Lead a small team of marketing and business development professionals, providing direction, mentorship, and support to achieve strategic objectives and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with partners and key stakeholders to identify business growth opportunities and develop tailored strategies to target new clients and expand existing relationships.
  • Manage the firm's online and offline marketing activities, including website development, content creation, social media engagement, email campaigns, events, and sponsorships.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing collateral, thought leadership content, and client communications to showcase the firm's expertise and differentiate our services in the marketplace.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with prospective clients, industry influencers, referral partners, and strategic alliances to generate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats, and use insights to inform marketing and business development strategies.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing and business development initiatives, and adjust strategies as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in the legal sector, and provide strategic guidance to ensure the firm remains competitive and innovative
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including legal professionals, finance, and operations, to align marketing and business development efforts with overall business objectives and priorities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 -10 years of experience in marketing and business development roles within the legal or professional services industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and client acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of the Irish professional services landscape, regulatory environment, and key sectors
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute integrated marketing and business development plans that align with organizational goals and drive measurable results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions to complex challenges.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
