Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent 3rd level qualifications) in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, or Food Science.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales or account management role with a proven track record of success.
  • An interest in food is advantageous as the candidate is expected to be knowledgeable on all elements of products and development.
  • IT Literate (Microsoft Office) with a strong comprehension of Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Ability to collate, analyse, and disseminate key reporting materials using customer data systems.
  • Clean driving license and access to own transport as travel may be required.

Job Purpose:

As our Sales Manager – Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the effective development and execution of a robust account management.
Your responsibilities will include managing and developing existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities to grow the business with both existing and new customers.
Main Tasks of the Job:

  • Assume full responsibility for day-to-day management of agreed customer accounts, focusing on ROI value-added sales.
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for customer accounts, forging strong working relationships and delivering ambitious sales plans.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the company’s short, medium, and long-term business objectives.
  • Professionally and effectively manage key accounts at head office level, maximizing sales and account profitability.
  • Build and maintain strategic business partnerships with multiples and key customers.
  • Ensure customer needs and objectives are delivered in a timely and efficient manner to promote a high level of customer service.
  • Produce regular sales activity and financial reports to inform future business development direction.
  • Proactively identify and convert suitable commercial opportunities into new strategic partnerships.
  • Introduce prospective customers to the company and its products through various channels.
  • Actively manage all price files, promotions, category reviews, annual account plans, and terms negotiations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust database of customer, competitor, and market information.
  • Organize the company’s participation in customer trade shows and events to generate and secure new business contacts.
  • Assist with the collection of outstanding/overdue debts.
  • Any other duties, as determined by the Group Sales Manager.
